Service Description

When a school tells you that your child is receiving Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions, what does that actually mean? How do you know whether the support is appropriate, whether your child is making meaningful progress, or when something needs to change? This interactive three-hour workshop helps parents understand Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions, progress monitoring, and data-based decision-making. Participants will learn how schools identify student needs, what an effective intervention plan should include, and how to interpret progress-monitoring graphs. Through practical examples and guided activities, parents will explore how to recognize insufficient progress, ask informed questions, and understand when adjustments to interventions may be necessary. Participants will receive a comprehensive parent workshop guide with explanations, examples, and practical questions to use when communicating with school teams.
