Kerriann Harrington, M.Ed.
Founder & Principal Advocate
Kerriann Harrington is the founder of Distributed Education Advocacy (DEA) and has dedicated her career to improving educational outcomes for children through transparency, collaboration, and evidence-based educational support.
With more than 15 years of experience in public education, Kerri has served as a special education teacher, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) staffing specialist, educational advocate, and educational leader supporting students with diverse learning needs. She holds a Master's degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Special Education, Florida certifications in Elementary Education (K–6) and Exceptional Student Education (K–12), and endorsements in Reading and ESOL.
DEA was inspired by Kerri's personal experience navigating the educational system as a parent. Like many families, she recognized early that her child was learning differently and sought support. Despite her educational background, she experienced firsthand how confusing and overwhelming educational systems can be when families are trying to understand what their child needs and how to access appropriate services.
That experience changed the direction of her career.
Kerri realized that if navigating the educational system could be challenging for someone working within it, families without that knowledge faced an even greater burden. She founded DEA to provide families, educators, and schools with trusted guidance, transparent communication, and evidence-based recommendations that keep every decision focused on what is best for the child.
Today, Kerri leads DEA with one guiding belief: Every child deserves to be seen, heard, understood, and provided the support they need to succeed.
Chase Burkart, Ed.S., NCSP
Clinical Partner & School Psychologist
Chase Burkart is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) with experience serving students and families in both public schools and private practice across multiple states. His expertise includes psychoeducational evaluations, behavioral consultation, intervention planning, and collaborative problem-solving with multidisciplinary educational teams.
Chase is passionate about helping families understand how children learn and ensuring educational decisions are based on comprehensive, meaningful data. He believes evaluations should do more than identify challenges—they should provide clarity, direction, and practical recommendations that help children succeed.
Through DEA, Chase combines his expertise in school psychology with a commitment to making educational information understandable, accessible, and actionable for families, educators, and schools.
