Expert IEP and 504 advocacy for parents navigating the special education system. Backed by over 15 years of experience in the public school setting.
Schools navigate this process every day. Parents often feel overwhelmed and underinformed. We level the playing field.
Your child is protected by powerful procedural safeguards. We make sure they're clearly explained and that you truly understand them.
Having a knowledgeable advocate at your IEP meeting changes the dynamic. We understand the language, the process, and the pressure points.
We review IEPs, 504 plans, and evaluation reports for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. We do this before you sign anything.
An ESE advocate is not an attorney. That doesn't mean they aren't powerful. A trained advocate understands the policies, timelines, and compliance requirements that govern special education. They help you interpret complex documents, communicate effectively with school teams, and hold districts accountable. Most importantly, they make sure your child's voice doesn't get lost in the process.
Distributed Education Advocacy was founded on a simple belief: that parents shouldn't have to navigate the special education system alone. Every family we work with deserves a knowledgeable partner. Someone who understands the system, knows how schools operate from the inside, and is fully committed to getting their child what they're entitled to.
With over 10 years in general and special education, and five years as an ESE Staffing Specialist, our founder has spent her career on both sides of the IEP table. That background means we don't just understand your rights in theory. We understand how meetings actually run, how decisions get made, and where families most often get lost in the process. Our founder has also been on the parent side of that table. She knows firsthand how confusing, frustrating, and isolating that experience can be. It's part of why she does this work.

I spent years at the IEP table for schools. Now I sit there for families.
Every engagement starts with a free 15-minute discovery call. From there, we work alongside you to review records, prepare for meetings, and make sure your child's educational program actually reflects their needs. Our approach is collaborative. We work with school teams, not against them. We don't back down when your child's rights are at stake.
Your child's paperwork tells a story. We know how to read it. We provide a thorough review of IEPs, 504 Plans, evaluations, FBAs, BIPs, and related records. We translate the findings into clear feedback you can actually use. You'll walk away knowing exactly what's working, what's missing, and what to ask for next.
You have the right to bring support to your child's school meetings. Having an experienced advocate in the room changes the dynamic. We attend IEP meetings, 504 meetings, eligibility determinations, manifestation reviews, and more, ensuring your concerns are heard, documented, and addressed. Virtual and in-person attendance are both available.
Sometimes you just need answers. Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, questioning a placement decision, or preparing for an upcoming meeting. We offer focused consultation to help you understand your rights.
Knowledge is the most powerful tool a parent can bring to any school meeting. We offer focused coaching sessions to help you understand your rights, ask the right questions, and show up to your child's IEP or 504 meeting prepared and confident. You don't have to become an expert. But you deserve to feel like one in the room.
If you disagree with a school's evaluation, placement decision, or IEP outcome, you have rights and options. We can help you understand the formal processes available, including state complaints, mediation, and resolution meetings. If legal representation becomes necessary, we'll refer you to qualified special education attorneys.
We'll listen to your concerns, learn about your child's situation, and give you an honest picture of how we can help. No pressure, no jargon. Just a real conversation about what your family needs.
